A brand new permanent opportunity has arisen working for a leading global law firm based in the City of London just a short walk from Barbican station. This role calls for as experienced Designer / Developer with a keen interest in Learning Technologies and will work alongside our clients lead Instructional Designer and Junior Developer. The core working hours will be between 9.00am and 5.30pm Monday to Friday on a permanent basis and includes a fantastic perks and benefits package.

The role sits within our clients Global Learning Technologies Team where the team designs and develops digital learning solutions for both internal use and for external clients.  The role will be working within a busy, lively and friendly team and calls for a personable and career driven candidate who wants to develop their creative career within the corporate world. Other key responsibility are listed below:

Key responsibilities

• Designing and building a range of innovative digital products, including interactive eLearning, games, quizzes, animated videos, and interactive pdfs
• Advising on new technologies or design approaches that would enhance the user experience, including the use of social media
• Advising on design approaches for consumption on all devices including mobile
• Supporting development of digital learning product for clients and help to identify future product lines
• Helping to raise awareness across the wider global learning team of how digital learning can support training needs, advise and support any training, where required
• Working closely with a range of subject matter experts across the firm to advise them on the best digital solution for their learning need
• Managing the project plan for individual products, ensuring products are delivered to time
• Managing the subject matter expert review process for eLearning modules and other digital resources
• Providing training and coaching on the firm’s templated authoring tool
• Utilising your experience and deep technical skills to upskill the Junior Developer

The successful candidate must have the following skills:

• Proven experience in the production of learning technologies
• Experience of designing digital solutions for all devices, including mobile
• Can create audio and video briefs as well as designing games
• Knowledge of file formats (graphics, audio and video)
• Good knowledge and use of other learning technologies tools
• Experience of eLearning and other development cycles and stakeholder review processes
• Experience of Learning Management Systems
• Use of authoring tools, Mohive or Gomo, Articulate Storyline 2 and Captivate
• Knowledge of GoAnimate or other similar animation software products (e.g. VideoScribe)
• Experience in the use of audio recording tools (for example Audacity)
• Experience of other learning technologies including animations, interactive pdfs, webinar and video production.
• Expert in graphics and media tools
• Expert in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel
• Strong Project Management skills.
