Editor or Journalist- Calling all Video Gaming Enthusiasts

My client is looking for a candidate that is experienced and has up to date knowledge of the Gaming industry (mobile ,console and PC). The role will be working on one of the biggest annual video gaming publication.

 

Duties

 


A strong gaming editor (sub, deputy or full) or journalist with an unflagging passion for the subject and who is completely on top of trends, new releases and products in development


 Extensive knowledge of and experience in a wide range of games and genres, plus inside knowledge of the industry and its component parts, from mobile gaming to PC via consoles and handhelds, industry stars and trends, across all genres


 Strong contacts and excellent relationships in the gaming industry


 PR experience desirable; media training possible for the right candidate


 Fluent, active and well-connected on social media


 Both creative and commercially-minded


 Strong page layout skills in InDesign preferable, but will train the right candidate


 Full working knowledge of Microsoft Office


 Strong knowledge of digital print production


 Ability to meet deadlines and keep to budget


 Team player with strong interpersonal skills


 Excellent project leader, able to communicate vision


 Strong eye for detail


 Superb organisational skills


 Ability to work under pressure in a constantly changing environment
