2. Job summary
This role will work across a region to support the delivery of the St John Ambulance First Aid Community Advocate (FACA) programme.
The FACA programme aims to grow the SJA volunteer base particularly amongst those aged 50 plus, raise awareness of first aid and provide opportunities for people from hard to reach groups to get involved in first aid as well as providing unique opportunities for marginalised groups in the communities we serve. Working in the community, this role will be pivotal in increasing SJAs presence and charitable impact.
3. Main duties and responsibilities
1
Promote and implement the FACA programme and support marginalised communities and vulnerable groups in line with our National Strategy.

Develop and engage with local networks to ensure delivery of the FACA programme and opportunities.

Manage the detailed project plan to ensure that assigned targets are delivered as per the agreed scope, time, and budget.

Adhere to departmental performance targets and project team objectives to ensure that the overall requirements of the project are achieved.

Work collaboratively across the region and with national teams to share best practice and develop projects which support our work in the community.

Undertake regular, timely and accurate reporting on the progress of the FACA programme.

Coordinate volunteers, and deal with day-to-day enquiries relating to our work with communities,

Provide a point of contact and subject matter expertise for other organisations, teams and departments to promote the sharing of ideas and innovative programmes which benefit communities

Maintain close links with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of the programme.

To represent SJA at appropriate local community forums, identifying local funding sources and opportunities.

Perform any other duties commensurate with these responsibilities, the band of the post and skills and qualifications of the post-holder.
