This large and well known law firm based in Chancery lane is offering an excellent opportunity for a MARKETING ASSISTANT to join the firm on a permanent basis working 9.30am to 5.30pm.

The Marketing Assistant  will support the Marketing Manager on a variety of firmwide initiatives, working alongside team members, or taking direct responsibility for specific projects. The job holder will be responsible for playing an active role in ensuring the marketing activities are carried out in a timely and efficient manner, and that day-to-day tasks are managed effectively.

Primary responsibilities:

Monitoring and updating the firm’s social media channels in line with agreed processes and principles. Working with the divisions to get the most out of the various channels.
Assisting with the managing and building of the firm's marketing video library, and the use of videos in Marketing campaigns
Reporting and tracking success of marketing activities compared to established benchmarks and objectives. Assisting the Marketing Manager in establishing and revising objectives and benchmarks. Work with the divisions, and others in marketing to encourage a campaign led approach to content.
Ensuring that the website is kept updated to reflect developments in the business, new joiners, web developments and statistical information relating to the Firm.

Working with the marketing manager to manage third party services such as PR and design to get the best use of these. Helping manage output and success.

Ensuring the firm’s photo and image library is up to date and easily accessed, reviewing and implementing improvements, booking photo sessions, and ensuring new joiners have photos. Helping with uploading and managing photos and brand assets as necessary.

Manage, send and develop the firmwide internal newsletter (The PuLSe)
Assist, and lead in cases, in the maintenance and promotion of the firm’s client relationship management system – specifically building and maintaining publication mailing lists, compiling and sending newsflashes and client communications, and other mailings using the eMarketing tool, tracking responses, reviewing success of mailings.
Secondary responsibilities:

Assisting with the management, coordination and organisation of internal and external events including client entertaining, breakfast briefings, networking drinks, seminars, workshops, etc. Activities will include venue finding; coordination of invite lists, invites and related event communication, logistics pre, during and post event; liaising with delegates, measuring effectiveness and working with the team to ensure effective follow-up.

Promote and manage events on the  website, social media channels and the third party sites where events are listed.

Organising and building a library of event images and other content such as videos to use to promote future events.

Reporting and tracking success of events compared to benchmarks and objectives. Assisting the Marketing Manager in establishing and revising objectives and benchmarks as appropriate.
Assist, and lead in some cases, in the maintenance and promotion of the firm’s client relationship management system – specifically for building and maintaining event mailing lists, compiling and sending event and other mailings using the eMarketing tool, tracking responses, and reviewing success of mailings.
Other responsibilities:

Assisting with the development and production of departmental newsletters and publications etc. both in hard copy and electronic format, ensuring and enforcing they meet brand guidelines.

Assisting with the monitoring on-line enquiries received into marketing mailboxes when required.

Assisting with the production of various internal communication initiatives.

Working with the marketing administrator to ensure that the team has an effective and efficient level of administrative and project support.

The ideal candidate will probably already be a Marketing Administrator in a professional services environment and looking for that next step up. You will have

Ability to work well in a team, with a positive and friendly attitude

Able to manage own work load with guidance and input from team members. Always looking, and trying to develop new ways of working.

Previous experience of working in a marketing function, preferably in a professional services environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to communicate at all levels, from senior partner to junior admin staff.

Comfortable taking a brief for a project, working as part of a project team with supervision or working on own initiative.

Good understanding of technology platforms used in business development and marketing: particularly web platforms – knowledge of Interaction (version 6 or later) and Sitecore web CMS desirable but not essential.

Excellent Skills in desktop publishing and MS Office packages, including MS Publisher, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
