Team Assistant, Financial PR

We are looking for an energetic, focused Team Assistant for a global leader in strategic communications. The firm is a trusted adviser to many of the world's most successful companies, providing expert counsel and support to clients around the world on interactions with the media, financial markets, employees, governments, and other vital stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Supporting a team of seven people including one Partner
• Monitoring press coverage on the newswires (Bloomberg, Reuters, Dow Jones etc.) and online media
• Writing press summaries
• Sending press releases to the Regulatory News Service (RNS)
• Assisting with registration and Q&A handling at client results days
• Diary management
• Supporting the global marketing team
• Creation of team creds and marketing cases studies in PowerPoint – creativity required
• Organisation and booking of travel arrangements
• Co-ordination of corporate entertainment, including management of dinner programmes
• Client/press contact (by phone, email and occasionally in person)
• Ad hoc research, particularly for new business pitches
• Providing cover to support other teams where necessary
• Keeping tabs on sector events for teams and clients
• Updating of databases

• Responsible, trusted to work with confidential information
• Excellent written English
• Advanced PowerPoint
• Good attention to detail
• Intermediate Word/Excel
• Professional telephone manner
• Ability to deliver to a deadline, to multi-task and to adapt to changing priorities
• Previous experience in digital, financial PR or media would be an advantage
