Job Description

To assist with the processing of the monthly payroll. 

To ensure robust & efficient systems, processes & procedures are designed & in place to ensure that payments made are complete, accurate & reconciled within the Payroll. 

To be responsible for the monthly preparation of accurate and timely management information and data.

The role includes responsibility for:

Working closely with the Reward & Benefits Manager to assist with accurate processing of all aspects of monthly payroll by inputting payroll and people changes and preparing suite of reports for reconciliation, notification to Finance, Inland Revenue, Pensions Administrators etc

Ensure compliance with all standards, controls and procedures for the accurate management of payroll matters, ensuring correct authorisation procedures are adhered to and maintaining records which demonstrate the reconciliation of all payments, deductions and accruals.

Provide guidance and advice to employees in respect of pay and benefit matters  

To collate data from the wider HR team to produce the monthly management information dashboard to be presented to the executive committee

Tax related tasks – preparation and issue of P11D, dealing with P35, distributing P60 etc

Ensuring that payroll administration procedures are clear and efficient and making recommendations for improvements

Respond to all payroll and benefit queries promptly and proactively, working with employees to meet expectations

Carrying out filing and archiving, invoice coding and other administration

Ideally broad experience of payroll preferably in the finance services sector

Proven experience working in a HR Department 

Educated to degree level or equivalent

Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Exceptional customer service
