THE COMPANY:
Our client, a prestigious Insurance firm based in Central London, are looking to recruit an Assistant Credit Controller, reporting to the Credit Controller Team Leader to join the company.


THE ROLE:
  • Responsible for delivering monthly reporting information
  • Responsible for credit control of UK, Belgium and Netherlands inwards and outwards broker ledgers
  • Preparation and review of monthly statements
  • Maximise cash flow by submitting statements, chasing brokers for due and overdue premiums and resolving differences promptly
  • Agreement and settlement of balances with European fronting companies and liaison with Underwriting Administration department to resolve differences
  • Agreement and collection of recoveries from co-insurers and liaison with Claims departments to resolve outstanding items
  • Preparation of monthly reporting packs to include KPI’s and analysis trends for the credit control Team Leader
  • Liaising with brokers and underwriters to resolve differences
  • Ensure reinsurance cover is maintained by paying premiums as they are due
  • Maximise cash flow by collecting recoveries as they arise
  • Allocation of cash, coding of receipts and payments
  • Filing of records and other credit control documents and correspondence
  • Provide assistance to Credit Control team leader and other Credit Control team members
 
THE PERSON:
  • 1-2 years’ credit control experience within a General Insurance environment
  • Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience of multi-currency General Insurance accounting systems
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Able to work on own initiative and prioritise own workload
  • Excellent time management with the ability to stick to any given deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional working relationships
  • Able to act with integrity and professionalism
