An international Lloyds Underwriters with a positive working culture is seeking an Underwriting Assistant for a 9-12 month FTC to fully use the skills gained from your recent and demonstrable work experience within underwriting, a minimum of two years. Supporting an Underwriter in a 1:1 capacity this would be a fabulous opportunity to learn from a well known figure within insurance who relies heavily on his assistant for administrative support.

You responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive administrative support to one main Underwriter and his wider team with accurate data entry, scanning of documentation working within strict service level agreements.
  • Photocopying, logging and scanning quotes and declinatures, filing and archiving.
  • Working with other teams and other underwriting teams to ensure the smooth running of the property portfolio.
  • Provide accurate management information, reports, presentations and marketing material to senior managers and underwriters as needed.
  • Being a professional contact for brokers in person, over the phone and on email.
  • Attending client meetings when needed.
  • Supporting key relationships with broker and external clients responding to queries.
  • Using technology fully to support a very busy senior Underwriter who relies on his assistant heavily.

You are currently working in a hugely logistical underwriting assistant role who takes great pleasure in multi tasking across several projects at the same time. You would welcome the chance to use your excellent communication skills on a daily basis and want to work within a team that works collaboratively and is used to juggling multiple deadlines.
