Our client, a market leader in the Insurance sector with stunning offices in the heart of the City, is seeking an Accounts Assistant for an initial 4 month contract, to start immediately.
Working as part of a Finance team with responsibility for local statutory, regulatory and group reporting, the Accounts Assistant is also part of the shared finance function for the group's overseas operations.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include:
*Processing of invoices and supplier payments
*Dealing with supplier queries
*Reconciling accounts payable bank accounts
*Processing of employee expenses
*Petty cash and petty cash reconciliations
*Daily banking
*Ensuring payment of invoices within terms of trade
You will also be responsible for the following Treasury support:
*Monitoring of treasury balances on a daily basis
*Administration of bank accounts to include opening and closing accounts and mandates
*Cash flow management
*Weekly reporting to global headquarters in US
Additional responsibilities will include annual reporting on staff entertainment and provision of information to internal and external auditors
What we're looking for:
To secure this fantastic opportunity, you will possess previous Accounts Payable experience, gained within either the Insurance or Financial Services sectors.
Experience in reconciliation of bank accounts and recording of petty cash transactions is also required.
You will possess a strong working knowledge of SAP, as well as Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
