We have an opening for a Paralegal to join this firms Wills and Probate team! This is an exciting opportunity for either a graduate that has a passion and keen interest for this area of law, or someone that has previous experience within Wills & Probate - whoever you are we want to hear from you. This firm's team is expanding and are looking for someone to hit the ground running!
Key duties:
- Legal research into specific areas of wills such as fact finds and instructions
- Assist fee earners with preparation of wills, letters of advice, estate administration and probate letters
- Monitor active cases from application, through to collecting in assets and paying beneficiaries
- Document reviews and compiling documents and evidence to be submitted for the case
- Support with email management, ad-hoc administrative tasks and other paralegal duties
- Collate case material for the different cases
The ideal candidate:
- Will have a degree levelled qualification
- Has at least 6 - 12 months experience in a paralegal role (ideally within the Wills & Probate)
- Has an understanding and knowledge of Wills & Probate
- Experience to deal with Court of Protection Deputyships, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Lasting Powers of Attorney matters
- Is organised, diligent and methodical in their work
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to work with your own initiative
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite
