A new fantastic opportunity has arisen to work for a global management consultancy firm based within beautiful offices in the West End of London.  This client are one of the world’s leading advisory on business strategy. Our client are looking for a strong Design Specialist, with strong PowerPoint skills, who is seeking the opportunity to use MS Office and the Adobe Suite to an advanced level as well as build on their existing skill set with a view to expanding into multimedia and online design work. The hours for this new permanent position are Monday to Friday 9am to 5:30pm. The role is working within a team of 6 working within a very friendly, upbeat and lively department, therefore our client are looking for a candidate with a friendly and personable approach with a great personality who enjoys playing an integral part of a design team.

The role of the Design Specialist will be to provide a high level of design support to the business. Daily activities will include proposal, bid and tender design, design for print/digital, video shooting/editing and other multimedia tasks. The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked in a desktop publishing/design environment for a minimum of 2-5 years. Some experience in video production and video editing would also be an advantage.

Some key responsibilities within this role will be as follows:

  • Designing and production in PowerPoint and the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Creating presentations, flyers, posters and mock-ups
  • Running PowerPoint training sessions for new Consultants
  • Editing videos to a basic standard and becoming more advanced over time
  • Working with the case teams in an advisory capacity to ensure that finished presentations are of the highest quality
  • Updating intranet web pages
  • Assisting in training of new consultants
  • Mentoring less experienced members of the team and new starters

The desired candidate should have the following skills and experience to be selected for interview:

  • Minimum 2-5 years desktop publishing/design experience in a corporate environment
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Dreamweaver or equivalent
  • Basic to intermediate video production knowledge - particularly utilising Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Team player and effective communicator
