Student Admissions Officer, £19k, Manchester

Campus is about to get a whole lot busier with a wide range of new courses and programmes beginning. They need your help to join them on a permanent basis within the Commercial department as an Admissions Officer to help with operations of the Student Management Centre. What does the role consist of?

This is an exciting and demanding student admissions role which will require you to build and maintain long-term relationships with the students. You will be advising students on potential study courses and to fully prepare them on the expectations in order to succeed in this role.

 

The main purpose of the role is:

 

 

 

 

  • To achieve contact conversion and revenue targets by matching our programmes to the needs of the prospective student
  • To convert contacts from students and prospects in to enrolments, whenever possible
  • To consistently deliver a high quality service to all students in line with agreed student contact service and call handling standards in order to promote continuing student relationships, working collaboratively with the wider Admissions Team
  • To consistently provide a proactive level of support to always meet students' expectations
  • To maintain a consistently high contact with prospects, students and enquiries through outbound activity.
  • To provide accurate responses to student enquiries, and relevant and up to date literature and information as appropriate, keeping accurate records of phone discussions.

 

What will the successful candidate be like?

They are looking for someone that has experience of working in a very busy environment, with the ability to work well under pressure and prioritising work accordingly. Outbound customer service and sales experience over the telephone and the ability to consistently hit targets. A genuine interest in helping students is crucial to help you fulfil this role. You will need to understand the importance of guiding and advising students in order for them to succeed and deliver an excellent service. You need to know how to build strong professional relationships with internal staff, external partners, clients and sponsors.

As you will be working with students in higher education, you will need to be degree educated yourself.
