Our client, a successful engineering consultancy based in the City, are looking for a Corporate Receptionist who is confident assisting with administrative tasks and has gained experience within Professional Services. The Role
To provide full time reception cover and ad hoc administrative support to the London Office Team.
  • Responsibility for answering and redirecting all incoming calls to the main switchboard (taking a message where redirected call cannot be received by internal staff).
  • Screening of incoming calls for senior personnel and taking messages where appropriate.
  • Greeting clients and visitors. 
  • Maintaining up-to-date telephone listings. 
  • Maintaining a daily log of (internal) personnel and external visitors.
  • Creating address labels, franking outgoing post and taking daily post to the Post Office. 
  • Sorting incoming post and entering into log. Logging all incoming special deliveries. 
  • Collecting, stamping and distributing incoming faxes. 
  • Responsibility for booking meeting rooms and ensuring reception is kept tidy.
  • Responsibility for booking taxi’s and couriers.
  • Providing ad hoc secretarial/administrative support to other teams when required.

The Person

  •  Experience of maintaining the right balance of administration support functions and acceptable receptionist interface that continue to support a professional and welcoming environment to our clients.
  • Computer Literacy - Windows XP, MS Word, Excel, MS Outlook, PowerPoint and FrameMaker Programmes for which training may be provided if required.
  • Mature and professional attitude at all times.
  • Flexible working hours.
  • Ability to remain calm and focussed under pressure.
  • Flexible and effective time management skills.
