Looking for an Administration Assistant to join a vibrant team in Kentish Town, working for an education charity which aims to empower young people with the knowledge, skills and confidence to challenge prejudice and discrimination in today’s society. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has a real interest in the charity sector.

General responsibilities: • Reception duties • Answering the phone • Offering hospitality to visitors to the office • Dealing with incoming post and distributing • Recording details of monies received by post in ledger • Dealing with outgoing post, including going to the Post Office when necessary • Banking • Photocopying • Dealing with mail orders, including packing • Arranging couriers as required • Stock control and ordering of stationery • Coordinating the logistics of staff away days and communicating these with all staff • Booking travel and accommodation for all staff, freelancers and volunteers • Organising and participating in internal staff team meetings • Taking minutes of internal meetings • Keeping common areas of office clean and tidy • Undertaking any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role • Database support • Assisting with preparation of mailouts, including mailmerging • Attending fundraising events • Collating and sending out marketing materials • Assisting at events • Scanning media for relevant stories • Posting social media stories • Support for newsletters • Proof reading • Presentation preparation • Researching useful contacts (local authorities, schools etc) • Recording contacts on database • Logistical support for exhibitions and projects

Person Specification: • Six to twelve months of experience in an administrative role • Good standard of written and spoken English
