An excellent varied role within the Mortgages side of a Financial Services business. Fantastic boss, fantastic team! Beautiful offices in the heart of London. Reporting to Collections Manager.

About the organization:

The organization provides short and long term loans to individual borrowers, secured on residential owner occupied and investment property in England, Scotland and Wales and originated through intermediaries. The organisation undertakes all of the lending and administration involved, working with selected third parties who provide mortgage valuations and legal work on behalf of the business.

Purpose of Role:

As a Collections Agent you will play a key role in enhancing the reputation of a multi award winning lending organisation.  Our client aims to provide it’s customers with a friendly yet firm management of their accounts, treating them in a fair and professional manner. Working as part of a supportive team, you will deal with calls from customers who are often experiencing financial difficulties in stressful and often emotional situations.  You will have a great opportunity to make a difference through your work.

Requirements:

  • The applicant would ideally have experience collecting in a regulated mortgage environment or similar
  • The applicant must be organised, able to manage their workload and capable of meeting deadlines
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel)

Responsibilities:               

  • Consistently deliver an excellent level of customer service
  • Manage arrears collections to meet set targets
  • Provide support & guidance (but not advice) to customers who are experiencing financial difficulties
  • Ensure that all regulatory and legislative guidelines are adhered to
  • Take ownership of queries and complaints
  • Look for ways to improve procedures and make recommendations to implement them
