An important opportunity has arisen within the Company’s Engineering department for a Training Officer – Engineering Centre, with a specific background in Electrical Engineering.
Your new role
This Electrical Engineering job will be based from Training 2000’s site in Blackburn and this is a permanent role. You will primarily be responsible for the delivery and assessment of 1st year off-the-job training programmes to employed Apprentices from their customer base. You will provide a full and comprehensive training service to Company’s on their business needs, including the delivery of practical and theoretical learning sessions that cover vocational and work related skills relative to the sector and to ensure learners are effectively supported and challenged throughout the learning process.
What you need to succeed
Previous teaching experience is essential for this role, along with a recognised, up to date teaching / NVQ assessor qualification such as CAVA, A1 or D32 or D33 as you will be expected to hit the ground running. You must have completed a recognized Engineering Apprenticeship and a background with experience in Electrical Engineering essential. You will have a strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and how to implement effective policy (Minimum of IOSH – Working Safely). You will be a self-motivated and effective team player who possesses excellent communication and organisational skills.
