Last month, SecsintheCity were invited along to Angela Mortimer's 8th annual International Women's Day event, held at the Marriott Hotel, Grosvenor Square.

The event was opened by Angela Mortimer, and followed by 4 inspiring female speakers; Julia Barfield – the architect behind the London Eye, Kiki McDonough – jeweller to the Royal Family, Dr Jasmin Jetha – ex CIO at Bupa, Abbey National and Pearson, and Eve Pollard OBE – former tabloid editor at national newspapers including the Sunday Mirror.

Angela Mortimer's International Women's Day event raised over £5,000 for the charity, The Wellbeing of Women. The charity dedicate themselves to improving the health of women and babies, funding research careers for young gynaecologists, obstetricians and midwives, as well as funding research in women's health. SecsintheCity were proud to sponsor a raffle prize in support of this charity.

Angela Mortimer closed the event with the take-home message, PROSPER. To have / to be:

Passionate about your job / role
Resilient against adversity

Encouraging to those we work with
Resourceful in creating new solutions
