SecsintheCity sees growth in higher paying roles
April 2019 saw annual increases in the number of jobs posted to SecsintheCity offering higher earning potential.
While the number of jobs in the £40,000 - £49,999 bracket grew by a modest 3% year-on-year, vacancies offering £50,000 - £59,999 per year saw notable annual growth of 17%.
With year-on-year growth of 16% and 10% respectively, the number of opportunities within the £60,000 - £69,999 and £70,000 - £99,999 brackets also grew significantly.
Data from KPMG and REC’s UK Report on Jobs confirms that average starting salaries of permanent roles continues to rise across all English regions due to a scarcity in qualified candidates, while findings from the Office for National Statistics indicate that annual growth of employee earnings remain strong across the private and public sectors, growing by 3.6 and 2.8% respectively in the three months to January.
