Our Chelsea based client is looking for a new office manager to assist in the day to day duties of running the office. We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual with excellent communication and organisation skills. A working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is required. As our client is an investment management and advisory company, a sound understanding and experience of accounting principals is desirable. Additionally, the role will require some secretarial duties for the 4 senior partners of the company.
Initial duties will include:
• Secretarial duties such as filing, answering phones, forwarding messages
• Co-ordinating travel
• Diary management for the team
• Taking minutes of weekly investment committee meeting
• Managing the overall running of the office and company affairs, including the paying of invoices, back account reconciliations, payroll and over time take on the company accounts and budget projections
• Assuming the role of company secretary for the fund and investment management company, this entails preparing board packs, directors travel arrangements and taking minutes at the board meeting
• Acting as operational cover, including trade entry, reconciliations, payments as well as being a secondary point of contact for the prime broker, administrator, audits and lawyers
• Organisation and preparation of the monthly investors’ newsletter
• Maintaining and updating the company website.
Due to the new nature of this role, our client is looking for a confident candidate with relevant experience to take on the role in a personal manner and really make the role their own. The ideal candidate will be a flexible yet pro-active individual, capable of working to their own deadlines and managing time and responsibilities effectively. As a result, responsibilities will grow as you gain knowledge of the company and business.
Depending on experience the salary would range between £30,000 and £32,000 per annum.
