The role of Assistant Operations Manager is to supervise, develop and engage with the Team Leaders to provide the highest level of client care and personal service to all stakeholders in the Clients business which includes visitors, clients and internal stakeholders.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Provide day to day direction and coaching to the Welcome team leaders to ensure that all training and competency records for each team member is maintained.
  • To supervise, motivate and develop individuals within the team to enable them to meet current and future team and client needs
  • To assist the Operations Director, Operations Manager, Head of Welcome and Customer Services with developing our services for current and future offices

  • To participate in project work and/or lead projects, as directed, and to implement any actions as necessary
  • Manage resources and the contract within the agreed budget to ensure profitability
  • Review the team rotas in conjunction with your colleagues to ensure adequate cover in your relevant areas at all times at all sites
  • Participate in monthly team meetings and hold regular team briefings to ensure the team are engaged with the overall vision for the contract
  • Participate actively in all appropriate company-wide meetings and events

EXPERIENCE:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ previous experience working in a customer service environment essential with a proven track record of successfully leading a team of at least 6 people
  • Previous experience working in a Corporate  /  Hotel environment essential
  • Working knowledge of key employment legislation in grievance, disciplinary, managing attendance and recruitment
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety processes and the management of these
  • Able to work with computerised Front of House booking systems such as CABS, Condeco, Fidelio, Trimble (formally Datacraft design Ltd) preferred
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written (email particularly)
