A new exciting role has become available for a Digital Designer to work for a multinational professional services company based at Canary Wharf. The successful candidate will be working as part of the digital media team on various projects and also taking ownership of their work by advising clients and helping to implement the best solutions to their e-media communication. This role will be working full time Monday to Friday on a 12 month fix term contract from 9am – 5:30pm.

The Digital Designer will be producing creative, comprehensive graphics and design multimedia solutions that fit the corporate brand guidelines and be creative with these. The ideal candidate will need to have intermediate coding skills and creative conceptual design to produce high-quality deliverables for the client. Good flash animation skills are essential. Some key responsibilities within this role are as follows:

Key tasks:

  • Design and production of multimedia material including internal and external animations and elements for sites, multimedia projects – primarily e-learning material, digital event material for exhibition and conferences
  • Taking briefs from clients whilst advising them on the best design
  • Project management and  coordinating project delivery
  • Ensuring all quality review checklists and processes are adhered to
  • Following document submission process in accordance with standards and protocols
  • Following digital guidelines for branded materials such as plasmas, flash elements and e-learning projects
  • Negotiating and managing deadlines
  • Educating and influencing clients to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables within their timeframes
  • Keeping well-informed of e-media developments and bring new ideas to the team
  • Working towards being a technical expect in all areas of e-media
  • Maintaining awareness of new techniques, equipment, best practices and developments within the e-media community

The desired candidate should have the following skills and experience to be selected for interview:

  • Adobe CC skills
  • Advance Flash, Illustrator, Photoshop
  • Lectora and e-learning background for design
  • Understanding of companies Learning Management systems
  • Intermediate AS2, Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS3
  • Knowledge of working with audio
  • Adobe Premiere
  • AS3
  • After Effects
  • Working with iPads
  • Motion graphics
  • A willingness to learn other e-media packages and introduce into the department
  • Good understanding of current web technologies, trends and developments
  • A solid understanding of web usability and information architecture
