Career Receptionist

We are looking for a Front of House Receptionist for a Global Satellite company in the City. This is a permanent position to work alongside the Senior Receptionist.

The purpose of the role is to provide a seamless Reception service to the staff and visitors of the building. As first point of contact you are responsible for welcoming in a professional, friendly and helpful manner.

Responsibilities:

• Answering  the phone in an efficient manner
• Liaising and coordinating with the Security Department with regards to building security and access of visitors
• Sending and responding to messages via email, fax and telephone
• Booking taxis and ordering flowers as requested
• Ensuring that the reception and waiting areas are kept in a tidy and presentable condition
• Acting as an information point for staff and visitors and assisting with local information if possible
• Providing cover for the switchboard if necessary
• Providing support and cover for the Senior Receptionist and undertaking their duties if the need arises
• Liaising with the Senior Receptionist to ensure all relevant training has been received
• Ensuring that the Reception desk is manned at all times
• Maintaining the stationary supplies and ordering as required

Requirements:

• Previous reception experience
• Ability to deal with people from all levels of the business in a courteous and efficient manner
• Proficient written and spoken English
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
• A flexible and pragmatic approach with the ability to work well under pressure
• Must have an outgoing, confident and organised disposition
• Ability to prioritise workload
• Smart and professional appearance
