Our client, a well-known US firm with a strong presence in London, are now looking to recruit a high flying candidate to join their Practice Development team to support the effective operational management of the Practice Development program and team with particular focus on those activities that establish and maintain improved collaboration and decision making.

The role is incredibly varied but is seeking a certain candidate who can handle the demanding environment and has a strong understanding of what is involved and so ideally, will have covered the aspects of the role in some capacity previously. Responsible for a range of activities; the role will support the roll-out and continuous improvement of the new Practice Development strategy and organisation and will support activities related to improved governance, financial management, and status reporting to global and office committees

Duties will include:

  • Work with the Chief Knowledge Strategy Office and others, with preparation of materials for key events and meetings. Activities may include developing materials, coordinating with others to gather and consolidate content, working with graphics design, etc.
  • Organise global/ key Practice Development meetings including scheduling, budgeting, agenda management, ownership of sequence and collation of meeting papers, ensuring actions are noted and followed up/completed
  • Project manage ad hoc initiatives that support the strategic agenda of the Practice Development program
  • Attend and participate in meetings capturing actions and tracking progress
  • Liaising with HR and monitoring requirements and compliance across the team
  • Responsible for monitoring headcount and vacancies across Practice Development as well as supporting the recruitment of Practice Development roles within offices and assist with management of specific HR issues
  • Establish and maintain scheduling of team calls, working groups, and other meetings as necessary to develop improved team working, awareness building and status reporting across the Practice Development
  • Work to compile status reports and metrics/impact analysis to measure and monitor impact of program
  • Co-ordination of financial management and budgeting materials to support reporting against budgets
  • Co-ordination of budgeting process and outputs for review and approval by various committees and COO
  • Co-ordinate presentation materials based on quarterly finance reports to highlight performance and progress against budget
  • Support finance related processes in relation to external vendors and third parties
  • Act as an additional point of contact for the Practice Development department

Experience:

  • Educated to graduate level or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the critical success factors for the Practice Development program
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to establish strong working relationships with individuals and groups across all levels
  • Experience in working across a global, complex, and matrixed operating environment. Experience of a Partnership also beneficial.
  • Team player with proven ability to build and develop relationships as well as identifying and using resources from within Practice Development
