Our client, a global alternative investment firm is looking for a motivated HR Generalist with a background in Human Resources and a keen interest in the financial markets to provide full HR support on a permanent basis. You will be working closely with the Head of Human Resources for Europe and Asia based in London to supporting the execution of the HR strategy. As the trusted HR advisor to the employees in the region you will assist with any employment related matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with developing and implementing employment policies and practices
  • Acting as the point of contact for employee and manager queries
  • Managing the arrival and departure of all new
  • Managing leave and holidays, benefits, pensions and renewals processes
  • Updating all employee records
  • Managing the team assistants and addressing any performance related issues and informal grievances
  • Providing advice on all aspects of local employment law and procedure agreements
  • Working closely with the HR team based in the US and with local lawyers if required
  • Producing and delivering written proposals, ad-hoc research and formal presentations to directors and staff on HR related interventions when required
  • Participating in regular HR team meetings and proactively contributing to proposed projects and initiatives and to take a role in their development and implementation
  • Managing the recruitment process for the new hires in European offices
  • Managing the preferred supplier list
  • Coordinating the recruitment process with the US Recruiting Manager
  • Coordinating the performance management process and administering talent assessment and compensation processes for the European offices
  • Participating in the annual talent management process linked to compensation
  • Supporting the head of HR throughout the compensation process, preparation of salary, bonus and benefits related modelling and analysis in excel as required
  • Performing compensation analysis and benchmarking with the firms' compensation consultant
  • Building out the learning and development offering by partnering with external firms to build upon professional skill set of employees
  • Working with the head of human resources to identify and address learning and development needs of the employees in a systematic way
  • Collecting the development needs for the office
  • Selecting the preferred suppliers for the running of the training
  • Proposing new local providers and organising training course
