Planning Administrator- Media Services

Vibrant, fast paced and sociable environment within a leading Media Services business awaits a Planning Administrator on a 4 month temporary basis.

Based in the heart of Bloomsbury in great offices, this role is to work as a Planning Administrator on a special joint venture project which will benefit the local communities around the UK and is to provide Administration support to the Planning and Development team.

The role will entail extensive work on a variety of systems, liaising with a range of internal and external stakeholders. There will be extensive reporting, assessing site suitability, dealing with queries, ensure drawings and plans are submitted in a timely manner and log progress.

Key duties:

  • Assisting with the planning and development process of the project including, desktop surveying and assessing suitability of locations 
  • Liaising with consultants to arrange planning drawings 
  • On site surveying 
  • Logging and tracking all processes 
  • Liaising with council officers on queries 
  • Reporting progress weekly to management 
  • Gaining consent and planning for project panels
  • Communication across the team
  • Accurate information on system and recorded appropriately
  • Supportive and team working
  • Meeting tight deadlines

 

 

 

 

Requirements for the role:

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft packages in particular excel
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal colleagues and departments and external parties
  • Confidence in dealing with people of all levels
  • Articulate, clear and concise telephone manner
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Numerate
  • Used to working in a fast, pressurised environment with constantly changing deadlines.
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Accuracy and an eye for detail

Key skills:

  • Office administration and/or customer service background
  • Experience of negotiation/problem solving desirable
  • Pro-active and thinking outside the box to find solutions to issues is essential
