Junior Family PA role, based in Knightsbridge, London


A full time Private Household PA is required to support a busy family of four- children aged 7 and 9. The successful candidate will be flexible, organised, energetic, and have a “hands on” attitude. The role will mainly be based in the family home in Knightsbridge, although occasional travel to the family office in Mayfair will be necessary. The role will also involve travel with the family over the school holidays
 
This is a junior PA role and we are looking for someone who maybe has worked with children as a teacher or a Nanny and is looking to change careers.

 

The below jobs are everything the current PA does in a year so please don’t be put off with all the responsibilities.
 
A DRIVER IS ESSENTIAL!
MUST BE FREE TO TAVEL IN HOLIDAYS!
 
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities;

  • Answering phone calls, opening post, filing, scanning and following up, emails. 
  • Renewing Club memberships
  • Meetings and restaurant reservations
  • Paying bills
  • Collating receipts and invoices
  • Working alongside/ managing travel with Exec PA and team at India Office
  • Calendar management
  • Travel itineraries
  • Managing all vehicles/ permits/ congestion/ insurances/ car park spaces
  • Visa applications
  • Address book management
  • Booking restaurants/appointments 
  • Events /parties coordination 
  • Contact lists and Christmas card mail out
  • Handling the payroll for the staff- HMRC/ Staff tax and bank account
  • Staff holiday travel bookings. 
  • Visa applications and visa renewals for staff
  • Dealing with resell sites for clothes and electronics etc
  • Management of the nearby storage unit and contents.
  • Dealing with builders and maintenance (during a pending refurb)
  • Checking on house if we are away and making sure it's in good order for return.
  • Health insurance claims 
  • Insurance claims
  • Weekly grocery orders
  • Misc. Shopping
  • School uniform orders

 
Duties relating to the Children;

  • Calendar, school, activities, clubs and tuition scheduling and management
  • Pick-ups and after school help with homework and after school 
  • Children’s party coordination
  • Organising the playroom/children's things.
  • Travelling with us during some school holidays.
  • Coordinating holiday guests and liaising with house manager in Greece
  • Keen and happy to get involved in activities with the kids during travel (trips on the boat, swimming, skiing, museums etc depending on location!)

 
Key Requirements and Desirable Attributes;

  • Ability to follow orders swiftly and efficiently
  • Tact, discretion and diplomacy
  • A driving licence is essential

 
Start date – End of April/ beginning of May 2019
Salary – 28-32k depending on experience
Hours – Monday – Friday - flexible schedule including overseas travel
