Hr officer - Battersea - URGENT!

£30 – 35k

Overview of role:

Reporting  to  the  Human  Resources  Manager  the  Human  Resources  Officer  will  provide support and cover of the administrative duties for the department. The incumbent will work very closely with the HR Manager who will provide coaching and mentoring as required.

Main Duties:

  • Assist  the  HR  Manager  in  the  day-to-day  operational  administrative  activities  for  the  HR
  • Assist the HR Manager with the monthly payroll reporting to HK and cover in their absence.
  • Provide a 2nd pair of eyes for the HR Manager to monitor detail required both for the role in the UK and for reporting to HK.
  • Monitor the internal leave system including annual leave and sickness.
  • Follow up with line managers on all CVs gathering feedback.
  • Scheduling of interviews for external candidates.
  • Conduct background checks.
  • Typing up of notes, memos and letters
  • Keep monthly departmental spreadsheets up to date
  • Photocopy, scanning, filing and other administrative duties.
  • Ad-hoc tasks as required and set by the HR Manager.

Essential skills, attributes & qualifications

  • CIPD or CIPP preferred or working towards one of these
  • Proven ability to be confidential at all times
  • Extremely methodical, well organised  and detail orientated
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience of payroll including manual calculations using HMRC tax tables
  • Knowledge of the employment laws of England & Wales
  • Stakeholder management with a willing can-do attitude
  • High personal integrity
  • Microsoft C-Suite

Desirable

  • A first degree educated to Tertiary level
  • Experience of the whole employee life cycle
  • Experience of completing payroll journals
  • previous experience of working for a property development company would be useful
  • Previous experience of working for a HK company or other international experience would be useful
