Housekeeper/Nanny for Private Family

Housekeeper/Nanny Job in Derbyshire 

Live-in Housekeeper/Nanny required for family home on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border, near Ashbourne.  

This is a fun family home looking for a Housekeeper/Nanny who would like to become part of the family.  This is a rural location (although not remote) so you should be country and animal loving. There is also a full-time cleaner employed.  The family have three children ages 17, 15 and 12, the eldest two are at boarding school and the youngest is at school locally, boarding 3 nights a week. The eldest is about to leave school and have a gap year.

Duties will include:

- Childcare to include school runs, hanging out with 12 year old in the evening when the parents are away, help with homework, taking them out shopping and to the cinema for example.

- Being organised and making plans for the 12 year old to meet friends or have friends over.

- Working along side the full-time cleaner to make sure that the house is running smoothly.

- Some hands on sorting and tidying especially when the children are back home on holidays, and keeping their rooms and shared spaces tidy.

- Cooking for the family and helping with dinner parties (together with mum)

- Shopping for the house

- Driving errands, school collections and taking the children back to school and station runs

- Organising the window cleaner, chimney sweep, AGA service, electrician and plumber etc

- Care of the dogs and chickens when the family are away, feeding, walking and loving them!

Full-time job to include working alternate weekends, and be flexible about time off and holidays, the family are very open to finding a way to make the working job/lifestyle work for everyone.

Accommodation: Live in separate, fully furnished flat is available, and the family are very inclusive.

Experienced manual driver essential

Salary: £19,000 to 21,000 (gross per annum)
