Our client, a leading commercial law firm with offices in the City, is seeking a Legal Cashier to take on a 6 month fixed term contract. This role is to start at the end of July.
As Legal Cashier, you will work with wider Accounts team, dealing with client and office account transactions, ensuring that SAR and other statutory regulations are complied with at all times.
Duties of the Legal Cashier will include:
*Identifying faster payment, BACS and CHAPS receipts
*Ensuring cheques are drawn and banked to meet firms deadlines
*Checking and posting client to office and client to disbursement transfers
*Posting client to client transfers
*Verifying Dotnet transactions
*Producing reports relating to NYP disbursements
*Filing of all transactional paperwork
*Monitoring main transactional accounts
*Keying electronic payments
*Identify and report any breaches of SAR
*Respond to any general client accounting queries
To secure this fantastic Legal Cashier opportunity, you will need:
*At least 5 years' experience as a Legal Cashier dealing with client transactions
*Experience of Aderant is ideal, but is not essential
*Experience of BIB/Dotnet would be preferred
*High level of numeracy, demonstrated by previous exam results
*Up to date knowledge of SAR
*Keen attention to detail, strong time management skills, and the ability to work as
part of a team as well as under limited supervision
