Our client has been manufacturing their product since 1820.  They are a very traditional, family owned business with traditional values.  They need an experienced Administrator to run a small satellite office in Mayfair.  You would be predominantly working there alone, although they do hold occasional meetings there and some of the Directors may call in from time to time.  This would suit someone who loves a quiet environment where you are left to run things independently.

Main responsibilities would include:

  • Sending out brochures / responding to emails and customer enquiries
  • Process orders and send out pro-forma invoices
  • Organise shipments
  • Banking cheques / ordering stationery / petty cash
  • Invoicing and credit control (some knowledge of double entry bookkeeping would be an advantage but not essential)
  • Stock taking
  • Support occasional meetings (organising refreshments, etc)
  • Liaise with the PR and advertising agent

  • Ability to work alone
  • Accurate with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Personable and intelligent
  • Trustworthy

Hours:

Monday to Thursday:  9.30am - 4.30pm; Friday: 9.30am - 4.00pm (32 hours with 30 mins for lunch)

There is some flexibility as to hours (10am - 3pm as a minimum) - but could depend on individual circumstances and requirements. 

Salary:  £35k pro-rata to the hours agreed
