Looking for a foot in the door? Fast paced Catering Assistant role…

One of our favourite private equity clients is looking for an ambitious, driven and happy Catering Assistant. There will be some reception/admin duties in this role but the majority of it will be working in the back of house pantry and setting up and clearing down 11 onsite meeting rooms which turn over regularly throughout the day – this role is fast paced and you will be on your feet a lot!

 The environment here is welcoming, supportive, positive and exceptionally fast paced. This role would suit a Hospitality Assistant or Catering Assistant who is keen to prove themselves, who wants to get involved, and has the attitude of ‘no job is too small’. 

There will be opportunities for this Hospitality Assistant to progress but long term – possible career paths include Receptionist, Office Assistant, Team Assistant or Administrator but you will need to be happy to excel in the Hospitality Assistant role for at least 18 months first.

The ideal Catering Assistant candidate will be bursting with enthusiasm, immaculately presented and be willing to help out anyone who needs it.

  • Setting up/ clearing meeting rooms maintaining exceptionally high standards.
  • Serving working breakfasts and lunches
  • Daily room checks
  • Monitoring and replenishing stock
  • Making orders.
  • Building and maintaining close relationships suppliers.
  • Putting forward ideas and observations to continually improve things
  • Maintaining cleanliness of pantry, coffee machines and kitchen equipment.
  • Help clients with AV equipment in meeting rooms when required
  • Reception cover and meeting and greeting when necessary
  • Working closely with other team members as part of front of house team
  • Hosting guests to their meeting rooms and informing their host of their arrival.
