Leading global firm, based in Hatfield with fantastic offices, have a 12 month minimum contract for a Compliance Officer to provide efficient assistance to a busy Compliance Manager within a highly collaborative work environment. You will be working within a very friendly team, monitoring and maintenance of all compliance administrative activities within a fast paced team, whilst ensuring all regulatory and corporate training requirements are fulfilled, documented and communicated. You will enjoy liaising with a variety of staff and take pride in accurate and efficient document management. Your duties will be varied and include:
- Help maintain regulatory internal controls ensuring documentation is up to date, reviewed and centrally available on the internet.
- Maintain the branch compliance; some awareness of Non Bribery, Due Diligence and MELCO Gift and Hospitality guidelines but not essential.
- Liaise with a variety of divisions and departments regarding compliance requirements and tasks
- Document, test and audit Branch controls, assist with Nationwide Fixed Asset audits, the completion of self-audit checks and compliance checks, monitoring the progress of process changes.
- Utilise your knowledge of local, National and European legislative obligations of REACH, RoHS, Battery Regs, WEEE and Packaging. Ideal but not essential.
- Assist with the management of any on site MELCO environmental audits.
- Monitor Branch compliance with MELCO ethics and Global Conduct guides.
- Maintain the branch ISO14001 accreditation and update documentation accordingly.
While you don’t need extensive compliance experience for this role, the role would suit someone who has gained some compliance experience, most importantly are a confident administrator and communicator, is methodical and enjoys using your initiative on a daily basis. You will be IT Literate and competent user of Outlook, Excel, Word & basic PowerPoint and have a reasonably stable working history.
