Studio Assistant, £20-22k, West London

A fabulous opportunity has arisen as a Studio Assistant to work in an inspiring and colourful design studio. This is your chance to be welcomed into a creative and luxurious design house that prides itself on quality and modernity.

Who will you be working for?

Based within a tranquil area of West London, their studio and office are located off a picturesque canal, situated in a hub of other creative and young companies. Their building really creates attention with their unique and intimate design façade and irregular office set up. This company allows you to enjoy the moody and inspirational interiors filled with outstanding British design as well as finding peace of mind by the local dockland area.

The company was founded by a highly reputable self-taught designer focusing on high end interior design including, lighting, furniture and accessories. They specialise is bespoke pieces with varying textures and material that provides an industrial vibe to their products. Selling independently as well as a handful of high end stores, this is a company that really excels in the interiors industry, making its mark as one of the best in modern British design.

 

What does the job consist of?

This role is to join the company, helping to support the PR team and provide general support within the London office.

Office Experience and Support

  • Ensure all office administration runs smoothly and effectively
  • Distribute post and support the management of outgoing post
  • Ensure all stationary and office supplies are effectively managed, keeping track of the budget
  • Manage the ordering and supply of the office breakfast
  • Maintain our internal directory, helping to improve access to information to all
  • Support in organising the "fortnightly", collate and distribute the digital notes
  • Support in managing internal employee gifts where needed
  • The go to for all office and building related queries
  • Support all teams in PO support where needed

PR Support

Support the PR team by responding to press requests and enquires

  • Support the PR team during Press Shows (e.g: Christmas in July)
  • Manage press samples requests for editorial shoots, ensuring stock is tracked and returned
  • Monitor the daily press coverage

 

What will the successful candidate be like?

They are looking for someone who is a hard worker and be able to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in. There is a good amount of variety in this role from entry level admin stuff to more fun PR duties - someone who is happy to do anything and willing to learn is important. You need to be personable, have the right attitude, with a bit of previous administrative experience.

PR experience desirable but not essential.
