This varied and responsible Health & Safety Assistant 12 month maternity contract position is working for one of the most prestigious Property Consultancies in the UK.
As Health & Safety Assistant, you will join the Operations and Risk department within Business Services, assisting the Health, Safety and Environment Manager and ensuring all aspects of the Health & Safety management system are implemented and maintained.
Ideally you will be degree educated with IOSH qualification or equivalent and an understanding of facilities and building management.
This Health & Safety Assistant contract position requires some travel to regional offices as required.

To succeed in this Health & Safety Assistant contract role, you will have:
*Degree or equivalent
*IOSH or equivalent
*Ideally knowledge of facilities / building management
*Strong IT skills, particularly Excel formulae and pivot tables
*Experience handling large amounts of data and information
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills
*Good organisational skills
*High attention to detail
*Total professionalism and reliability
*Willingness to start ASAP and complete a 12 month FTC
Key accountabilities within this Health & Safety Assistant contract role include:
*Providing training and support to regional offices
*Implementing requirements of safety and environmental management systems
*Overseeing the operation of the audit programme
*Undertaking desktop audits using online compliance management system
*Reviewing and preparing statistical analysis of accident data and compliance information
*Administration of approved contractor list
*Maintaining a record of all safety management documentation
*Arranging for Health & Safety training, workstation assessments etc
