Our law firm client with several regional offices has a vacancy for a talented generalist HR Officer who will have day to day responsibility for all HR advisory services in their prestigious London office. This is a wide ranging front line role covering inductions through to exit interviews.

You will be required to take the lead in London on employee engagement, performance management, disciplinary and any grievance issues. You will be the only on-site HR adviser but we also have an L&D specialist in London and other business support professionals. Also, you will be part of a wider and supportive HR team who will be there to provide any help and support you need.

You will work closely with your colleagues to to implement annual HR projects and initiatives including appraisals, secondments and salary reviews.

This is a fairly stand-alone role but with substantive support available from other regional HR advisors so this role will suit a confident advisor who thrives upon juggling priorities and managing their own workload. Having said this, whilst your main focus will be supporting the firm's London colleagues you will attend the other offices from time to time to working on cross office initiatives and to share good practice.

Skills & Experience


A minimum of 2 years' generalist HR advisory experience is essential
CIPD Foundation level qualification desirable
At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent at grades A – C including English and Maths
Excellent organisational and administration
Ability to work as part of a team and use own initiative
Confidentiality and discretion are fundamental
Good drafting and IT skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Flexible attitude
Capable of managing a varied and demanding workload
Proactive and positive 'can do' attitude
A professional services employment background, preferably in a law firm would be advantageous but this is by no means essential.
