Working for a well known media law firm in the West End, this is a brand new position for an experienced marketing professional to take ownership of many of the marketing duties in this eighty strong law firm working under the direction of the Head of marketing and business development.

This is an opportunity to join an exciting, dynamic law firm working with clients in the media, technology and creative industries.  It is a very hands-on role with a lot of responsibility and would suit someone driven, confident and able to use their initiative.  

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

The candidate should have the following skills and experience:

•    At least 1 year experience working in a similar role at a law or other professional services firm
•    Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Powerpoint (In-Design also an advantage)
•    Experience with website Content Management Systems
•    Strong writing ability including Social Media skills
•    Event organising/management skills an advantage
•    Good communication skills (written and verbal)
•    Keen attention to detail
•    A can-do, team player attitude
•    Strong organisation skills 
•    Ability to demonstrate flexibility and commitment
•    Ability to prioritise workload and use initiative to solve problems 
•    Flexible with regard to working outside normal working hours should event management or business needs required (paId overtime)

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Events – planning and project managing a range of internal and external events

Design – liaising with the firm's design agency; working with InDesign software to produce select marketing materials, pitch documents etc (In-Design training will be provided for any candidate without direct experience with this software)

Website – maintaining website content through Content Management System including drafting news items and managing the blog development

Intranet – keeping all parts of the intranet up to date with relevant information 

Social Media – maintaining firm's social media pages 

Corporate Social Responsibility – involvement in the firm's charitable activity including organising firm fundraising events, maintaining relationship with the Charity of the Year etc

Support on Pillar committees – attendance and administration of the firm's core 'Pillar' meetings including Client Care Committee, Business Development Committees and Training & Development 
Committee including drafting meeting notes and ensuring all next steps are actioned appropriately and in a timely manner

Marketing– supporting Head of Marketing and Business Development in a variety of ways on the delivery of the cross – departmental, group and individual marketing plans 

Database (CRM) – providing support with regard to the launch of the firm's new database including administration of the marketing functions within it

Working 9.30am to 5.30pm, this is a fascinating position working in one of the most exciting areas of law.

The ideal candidate will probably be a Marketing or an Events Assistant/coordinator at present and will be looking for that next stage in their career.

Probably with marketing qualifications, it is likely that the ideal candidate will also have 1 to 2 years marketing or events experience to date in a professional services environment, will be lively, confident, polished and very comfortable with Clients.
