Our client, a leading professional services firm, is seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their Accounts team on a permanent basis. Fluent Japanese would be preferred, but is not essential.
As Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will be responsible for entering purchase invoices onto the SUN accounts system, preparing the journal import file, entering expense claims, and reconciling supplier statements, as well as responding to any invoice related queries.
Other duties of the Purchase Ledger Clerk will include assisting with the preparation of European VAT reports, liaising with VAT processors to ensure VAT returns have been prepared, collating cost reports, and ensuring that your line manager is regularly updated on work in progress.
To secure this role, you will require previous experience within Purchase Ledger, and a proven track record using Accounting software (ideally SUN but this is not essential). Japanese language is preferred, but not essential.
You will need to possess strong MS Office skills, excellent written and spoken communication, the ability to balance multiple tasks, and also to respond to customer queries efficiently and effectively.
