Accountant

ACCOUNTANT - Our client, a family run business based just off Bond Street, currently has a new opening for an Accountant to come in and join this high profile business.

You will be happy to work in a very small close knit team and muck in and cover when required.  Your daily duties will be to ensure that the daily accounting function is ran smoothly.  You will report into the Company Secretary/Directors and be responsible for the Assistant Accountant.  

Your duties will range from managing import/export procedures and accounting for VAT.  Enter all sales transactions both in the UK and overseas. Maintain daily relationships with Banks and handling all banking transactions (sterling and foreign) and producing weekly cash report.  Manage all duties regarding HMRC and all taxes. Manage day to day cash flow for the business.  Covering for the Company Secretary and Assistant Accountant during times of absence.  Assisting the Directors with personal banking.  

You will have a sound accounting background and be able to pick up systems and processes quickly.  Good knowledge of all MS Office packages especially excel.  Knowledge of VAT and the rules regarding import/export.  Able to work well in a small team.  Any language skills such as French or German would be an advantage but not essential.

Experience within luxury goods would be an advantage.
