Exciting role for an experienced internal communications and events manager at a global financial institution. Working extensively in  procurement, this is a varied role requires exceptional interpersonal and communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise a varied workload and a meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a multi-stakeholder, multi channel annual communications strategy
  • Measure the effectiveness of the communications and channels on an ongoing basis
  • Deliver timely, informative and inspiring communications to customers and suppliers through a range of channels
  • Prepare communications on a wide range of issues, translating business messages into inspiring and compelling communications
  • Pro-actively seek out speaker and author opportunities
  • Organise a series of high-profile events to drive further value from supplier partnerships
  • Work with senior stakeholders to agree they key messaging, formatting and attendees
  • Work effectively with all areas of the business
  • Prepare compelling speech material, presentations and handouts

Requirements

  • Excellent academic background
  • Previous experience in a communications role
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise at all levels
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills at senior level
  • Ability to think creatively and solve problems with tight deadlines
  • Ability to remain calm in time of pressure
