Business Development Manager

Our client, a top tier US & international law firm with offices in the City, are looking to recruit a capable Business Development Manager to integrally lead a busy team. This represents a fantastic opportunity for an experienced business development professional to manage the implementation of marketing and business development activities in the Project Development and Finance practice group of a Global law firm. The role offers a balance of project ownership/autonomy as well as the opportunity to get involved in new initiatives in a dynamic and international environment with significant Partner liaison.

The successful candidates’ daily responsibilities will be inclusive of:  practice group planning, pitch management, drafting and co-ordination of legal directory submissions, client relationship management, thought leadership and campaigns, conference and sponsorship management, research and any other ad hoc BD projects as required. 
 

This role is a permanent position, with a highly competitive salary of £55-65,000 per annum, dependent upon experience. Ideal candidates will have the ability to influence and drive the business development activities of a number of partner stakeholders, as well as coordinate their activities for the benefit of the firm. To be considered for this position, you must be familiar with planning, organising and preparing pitches, legal directories and other marketing materials and be highly IT proficient. The successful applicant will also have prior experience of mentoring/managing more junior members of a team, working within a City or US law firm and possessing tertiary qualifications in marketing (CIM) would also be highly desirable.
