Leading corporate firm, over 100 years old, have a fantastic opportunity to join within a diverse and unique role that will offer you responsibility while working within an extremely interesting industry.
You will be based in the London head office, supporting and implementing a regional plan that supports the overall business goals, around regional good governance, process definition and improvement & project management, whilst providing departmental engagement, and good data and CRM practice.
While managing a team of two, you will ensure the smooth running of the department, strategy and personnel fulfilment of their 50 regional offices and investigate and analyse business issues and to recommend, or initiate, actions. As central support you will be providing support to the regional branches for communications and marketing, recruitment, budget control, effective event organisation, engagement with education, local Government, influencers and decision makers, etc
It is difficult to put a name to this role as there are so many elements to it; however, here are only some of the responsibilities:
- Create and maintain effective channels of communication across the regions
- Training and supervising employees and tracking their performance
- Full project management
- Assisting in the development of an induction programme
- Monitoring and analysing current out-dated practices and systems, making effective improvements
- Managing day to day activities, analysing statistics and providing reporting. Writing report and providing operational data.
- Actively engage with all branches, build a strong relationship with its personnel and volunteers through regular visits to regional offices, committee meetings and key events
- Work with Regional Marketing team to communicate new solutions; on line and off line networks
- To champion CRM and best practice in operations & regional Good governance, across all areas of the IoD UK and overseas, including Affiliates.
This really is a unique role and candidates will need some of the following Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Able to demonstrate experience of Project Management and improving and implementing new business process.
- Graduate calibre with solid experience of working with senior business leaders/individuals
- Leadership and management experience
- Organised events or large scale meetings
- Understanding of social media and online marketing
- Negotiation and communication skills with a good balance of diplomacy and resolution
- An approach that seeks solutions over entrenchment, strategic minded and customer service driven
- Willingness to occasionally travel throughout the UK to meetings
- Experience working within a regionally spread organisation
Hours: 35 Hours per week
