Legal PA - Learning & Development

Owen Reed are recruiting for a Legal PA to join a top London law firm.  The Legal PA will work with the L&D (Learning & Development) team.  The Legal PA will report to the L&D Practice Manager.

Responsibilities of the Legal PA
• Providing a discrete and confidential PA service to L&D Management and/or Members of the Leadership team
• Ensure work received is logged and saved appropriately. Liaise with internal clients and clarify instructions.
• Manage the email inbox for allocated Managers and/or Leadership team.
• Manage diaries in Outlook: arranging meetings often in different time zones, sending and responding to invites, resolving conflicts, confirming appointments and bringing forward papers
• Management of overseas business trips for Managers by liaising with local contacts, drafting programmes; preparing and shipping courseware, booking flights and hotels, obtaining cash, passports and visas, preparing itineraries and processing expense claims
• Responding to telephone enquiries
• Lead the drive for quality ensuring that appropriate standards and procedures are set and maintained
• Providing the L&D Practice Manager with status updates, alert them to any issues and suggest solutions
• Produce monthly Know-how bulletins and develop further the L&D resource bank
• Be a subject matter expert and support fully the transfer of knowledge 
• Prepare for and attend weekly catch-ups with L&D Practice Manager
• Make arrangements for the completion of psychometric tests and produce reports as required
• Review content of and update the secondment booklet quarterly

Skills & Experience Required
• Strong Academics
• 4+ years’ experience within an L&D team
• Line management experience
• Excellent organisational and administration skills
• Strong time management and prioritisation skills will be required to support a busy team at different levels of seniority
• Ability to operate in a friendly, client focused, professional and discrete manner at all times (E)
• Ability to engage with key stakeholders and deal with people at all levels within the organisation (E)
• Strong team player
• Flexible and adaptable approach
