Leading US law firm is looking to hire a new Practice Development Specialist who will be responsible for supporting Practice Development Lawyers and the wider Practice Development program with particular focus on providing counsel and expertise on knowledge sharing initiatives as well as day-to-day design, management and maintenance of knowledge related solutions and tools. Duties will include to work closely with the Practice Development Lead/Lawyer to help implement the Practice Development strategy and associated services, maintain knowledge tools and know-how repositories to ensure that content is current and relevant; perform content management activities, under direction of the Practice Development Lawyer, to ensure appropriate protocols with regard to client/confidential information are complied with, develop and maintain knowledge channels (portal pages, discussion boards, wikis, etc.) for assigned content areas to facilitate access (search/browse) to relevant know-how and expertise, work with matter teams to harvest know-how in alignment with approved content plans that are developed by the Practice Development Lawyer in conjunction with the practice groups, act as a point of contact for enquiries on work product and matter experience and expertise, act as a point of contact for enquiries on work product and matter experience and expertise and act as a point of contact for enquiries on work product and matter experience and expertise. Applicants require 3-5 years’ experience of working in a legal or professional services organization ideally from practice development or knowledge management/know how, experience of working in a global environment and team and ability to work collaboratively, be degree educated and a strong understanding and expertise in success factors for KM related programs.
