Research Associate for Global Company

My Client has a global presence within the hedge fund and private credit industry; they are currently searching for a Research Associate to join their busy Research Department. They are ideally looking for someone with previous research experience; someone who is passionate about the industry and can display knowledge of how hedge funds operate in the EU and the US with a history of producing original research.

The role duties include but are not limited too:

• Representing the company on among global member firms to identify and lever hedge fund thought leadership. Produce original research and proposals autonomously to a publishable standard using primary data and be able to present findings. Manage and collate information for reports applying quantitative and qualitative research skills to educate and inform about the activates of hedge funds, credit funds and the sector as a whole. Develop a close liaison with other teams within the company to develop research materials capable of supporting evidence-based advocacy. Undertake quantitative research encompassing data analysis, modelling and statistical testing.

Skills / personal attributes:

• You have the ability to work under pressure and to represent the company professionally and positively, both internally and externally. You are a self starter with a true passion for asset management and have an understanding of how policy and legislation affects the industry. Desirable but not essential to hold a professional certification such as CAIA / ICMA / CISI.
