Receptionist / Admin Assistant

Respected mid-size London law firm are looking for a receptionist / administration assistant to assist on their busy front desk reception. You will be expected to provide efficient and effective front of house support and excellent customer service to both external and internal clients.

This is a busy and forward thinking firm with a large number of visitors every day so you will be expected to meet and greet all clients and show them to the correct meeting rooms; assist with the coordination and preparation of meeting rooms; answer all telephone calls and either pass them on to the relevant person or take concise messages; updating databases and assist with administration when required.

In addition to your reception duties, you will also be assisting the HR manager with various HR duties including making bookings for external training; dealing with HR-related admin; scheduling all HR meetings including interviews, inductions, exit interviews etc; ensuring that all staff personnel changes are documented and ensuring the files are up to date with staff holidays and sickness.

 As this is a customer focus role, it is essential that you have an exceptional telephone manner, very good communication skills and the initiative and intelligence to deal with problems as they arise. You will be the first point of contact for very high profile clients and so you must have the confidence and dynamism to deal with them. Although a legal background is desirable, they will look at any candidate with at least one years’ experience as a receptionist from a corporate / professional services environment.  An enthusiastic and flexible manner are also a must.
