THE COMPANY:

Our client is one of the largest global bank’s in the world. They are currently recruiting for a Trade Services Officer to join their team.

THE ROLE:

• Processing and monitoring commercial loans
• Ad hoc duties as and when required
• Processing and checking of Transferable and standby L/C’s
• Dealing with customer queries in a timely manner
• Advising letter of credit and amendment to beneficiaries
• Monitoring outstanding refinances and preparing and circulating reports
• Working as a key part of the team assisting other departments when required
• Processing of inward and outward collection and acceptances
• Processing of Import L/C, Back to Back L/C, commodity L/C’s and Guarantees
• Handling reimbursement claims
• Issuing, processing and checking of guarantees
• Responding to all L/C and amendments queries
• Reviewing, processing and checking of import and export L/C’s
• CBN reports
• Paying advice through bank charges
• Taking charges on expired L/C’s

THE PERSON:

• Strong customer service skills
• Highly competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including Excel and finance software
• Good knowledge of SWIFT
• Reliable, dependable and hardworking
• An effective communicator and team player
• Able to work in a professional manner
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative
• Treat information with appropriate confidentiality
