Events Sponsorship Executive £35k P.A

JOB PURPOSE

To generate B2B events income for the organisation through sponsorship and exhibition sales. Maintain and build relationships with current and potential B2B clients. Liaise across the organisation to maximise sales opportunity with all clients and members.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Secure B2B events sales income for the Society through sponsorship and exhibition sales;
  • Develop packages and pricing strategies across the product portfolio, including event sponsorship, ensuring the brand value is high and our pricing maximised in the competitive environment;
  • Approach prospective B2B clients and maintaining client relationships;
  • Develop and maintain the Client database through research and the development of networks;
  • Create and update sales status reports including identified contacts, leads and confirmed sales. Prepare and present reports to colleagues, stakeholders and Boards;
  • Manage the sales pipeline, from acquisition to long term partnership;
  • Create opportunity proposals for Society events. Work with colleagues from all teams to ensure we deliver opportunities that meet client needs.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS FOR THIS JOB

  • Experience successfully securing sales to achieve targets;
  • Experience developing and delivering sales strategies for B2B accounts to achieve new, retained and additional sales;
  • Successful track record of sales management including excellent customer service skills
  • Experience providing analysis and reporting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal and influence a wide range of people with tact and diplomacy including senior management, stakeholders and suppliers;
  • Experience of leading, managing and motivating team members;
  • Experience managing and negotiating contracts;
  • Excellent commercial experience to create sales opportunities for accounts, to include creating the opportunity and price setting;
  • Understanding of budgets;
  • High level problem solving skills;
  • IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, database knowledge, etc).
