Astrea Academy Trust is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced PA to support the CEO of a developing Multi Academy Trust.  The PA will become part of the growing Executive Support team and will apply essential organisation to the CEO’s complex schedule.  Vital to this position is your ability to work under pressure and in a rapidly changing climate.

This is an exciting opportunity within a fast-paced environment, providing you with experience of working in a varied high workload, you will be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise your workload. The ideal candidate will be flexible, have good attention to detail and consistently provide excellent customer service.

About the Role:

The PA will provide vital support to the CEO. This will include; travelling with the CEO to meetings as necessary. Working with colleagues to proactively arrange regular Trust meetings in advance. Assist the CEO with personal arrangements as and when required.  Regularly arrange and attend meetings in schools, often in the North of England. Prepare agendas, minutes and action trackers for all meetings involving the CEO. Organise travel arrangements nationally to ensure value for money and best use of time. Produce a weekly itinerary for the CEO.  Oversee the operation of the London office, book meeting rooms and ensure adequate supplies at all times.

About You:

You must possess high organisation skills, attention to detail and the ability to produce accurate information and above all the correct attitude and ethos to work as part of an energetic team. You will be IT competent and familiar with administration systems.

You are accustomed to having a broad spectrum of tasks and can multi-task whilst producing high quality outputs within agreed time frames. Your prioritisation skills will be flawless and you can quickly establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels. You will be able to build and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. An awareness of the Education system is an advantage but not essential.

You are highly likely to have experience of a busy PA / administration role, looking for a step up and to take on more responsibilities.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to tailor communication to a range of high level audiences using a variety of mediums and to draft correspondence on behalf of the Chief Executive
  • Expert knowledge of Office 13 – including Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint together with excellent keyboard skills
  • Able to analyse data and use a range of office software applications
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload, work to tight and changing deadlines and anticipate requirements in advance
  • Excellent interpersonal and professional skills and proven ability to work and build good working relationships remotely with the Chief Executive
  • Ability to recognise political urgency/sensitivity of emails/phone calls in order to alert the Chief Executive or appropriate person in a timely manner
  • Clear understanding and working knowledge of Astrea, its ethos and values partners, relevant systems and procedures
  • Ability to be adaptable and work flexibly across the Trust including ability and willingness for significant travel
