Duties:
- To understand the relevant health and safety legislation that applies to the business its staff and to offices to ensure that the Company is compliant with its responsibilities under such legislation.
- To schedule the appropriate audits and checks to meet the company’s health and safety responsibilities
- To investigate, follow up and resolve any health and safety issues that arise from any audits or checks
- To be the primary building services contact point with the building management and managing agents to ensure that common services and supplies meet the Company’s requirements, are in line with our lease arrangements and meet our health and safety obligations.
- To develop and maintain a rosta of service providers that meet the maintenance and service requirements of the offices.
- Once trained, to conduct Risk Assessments, Desk Assessments etc. to ensure we meet our health and safety obligations.
- To audit the primary services that feed the building (electricity etc.) to ensure the Company is being correctly invoiced and receiving the most cost effective supplies in the market.
- To be responsible for office supplies and liaison with office suppliers to ensure the Company receives a cost effective and value for money service
- To check invoices and to liaise with Finance staff on any issues relating to invoices or payments
- To provide reports and information when required and to escalate any issues to the Head of Human Resources that require their attention.
- To undertake various office administration projects to improve the services and conditions of the office for the benefit of staff and visitors
The ideal candidate will be:
Facilities manager with 5-10+ years experience
Ideally suited to corporate/boutique finance environments
IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent qualifications preferred
