Teaching Assistant – lovely Independent Primary School

The most lovely nurturing, positive independent primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team.  This could suit a recent graduate who wants to get into teaching.  The role will involve providing support to the teacher, deliver prepared lessons to classes in event of teacher absences, prepare the classroom for lessons, accompany teaching staff and pupils on visits, trips, participate in training and other learning activities and performance development in areas discussed with the Principal. You will also support children, acting as a role model, supervise children at break time and be there for them at all times.  You will need to have English and Maths GCSE, degree, knowledge and training in a field of child psychology, speech and language therapy, child development would be useful.  Experience of working with primary aged children.  You will have great IT skills, a team player and a great communicator and an all round ‘lovely warm and friendly supportive’ person.
